Growing up, Natives were the funniest people in Joshua Emerson's life but when he started pursuing comedy as a career, there were hardly any Natives to be found. So he decided to produce 'Bad Indian' with a simple goal: to develop and showcase Indigenous comedy talent, built on a simple premise: Natives are funny. Since then, Joshua has produced Bad Indian at clubs and festivals all over the country, including being the first and only Native showcase at Netflix is a Joke Fest. Be apart of the movement.

Artists
Joshua is a Dine' (Navajo) based in Denver, Colorado. He produces the Native American comedy showcase called, Bad Indian, which has a two part mission: to develop Indigenous comedians, to platform Indigenous comedians. Joshua was selected for the Mayor's Award for Excellence in Arts & Culture in 2023 and was named to "Indian Country's 40 under 40" by NCAIED in 2026.
