Neu Blume is a twang-tinged indie folk group from Detroit led by Colson Miller and Mo Neuharth. As original members of Nanami Ozone, the duo’s musical bond is characterized by Miller’s inventive guitar voice and Neuharth’s moody vocal sentiment. With lyrically-driven songwriting as their diving board into a broad soundscape, they nod to shoegaze, west coast surf, and the 90's alternative of their youth, but mainly lies under an umbrella of sweetness, nostalgia, and artful song-craft.
They released their debut record, Softer Vessel, in 2022 and are currently recording an LP at Oracle Recording Studio to be released next year. The group formed in 2020 and performs with a rotating group of talented musical friends from Detroit and Phoenix, recently playing alongside acts like Rose City Band, Bonny Doon, Shana Cleveland, and Squirrel Flower.
