CISCO & THE RACECARS
CISCO & THE RACECARS
Back in 2008 three teens of Jam Pak formed a band called The Real Deal. Along the way they acquired other members but all were busy with school and sports and the band did a few gigs and entered contests here and there. Sometimes under the name of JP2. But bluegrass music and its branches still held a special appeal for those who grew up playing, jamming, and performing around the state.

Under the management and vision of Francisco Briseno, the band has grown to be a serious and exciting group to hear. They play in coffee houses, house parties, at The Beach House Reviews, and on the streets of Phoenix. They won a spot in the Marana Bluegrass Festival and the Hi Country Bluegrass Festival at Arcosanti for 2013. They will be a featured band in the 2014 festival at Arcosanti. The band recently competed in the Fiddle-in Band Contest at Payson and took first place. Although their roots are bluegrass and they remain true to that tradition, they are also able to play popular, country, and old-time music.

This young band is exciting to watch. They love what they're doing and they are committed to making their listeners happy with their music. They are best friends as a band and enjoy traveling, jamming, eating, and talking. Keep them in mind when you want some great entertainment.
CAROL PACEY & THE HONEY SHAKERS
CAROL PACEY & THE HONEY SHAKERS
Carol Pacey & the Honey Shakers is one of only a very few female-fronted, all original Americana rock bands in the Phoenix metro area, AZ, USA! Original and uncommonly upbeat music written by up and coming Tempe singer/songwriter, Carol Pacey. With songs written in Americana's mix of folk, alt-country and rock and roll, Carol brings it all to her shows with enthusiasm, ease and pure joy. Originally from the East Coast, Carol moved out west and became enamored with what Arizona and Mexico had to offer. At her shows, she performs a collection of original songs, from poignant ballads to driving rockers.
Blazing up and down lead guitar is Andy Borunda, most recently from local indie band, I Me Mine and The Cyd & Andy Show, as well as Crazyblue and Obbligatto. Andy is an Arizona native and his main influences are Jimmy Page, Ace Frehley and Slash.
Keeping the beat is Ben DeLuca, originally an east coast boy hailing from the D.C. area. As a kid, he loved to make noise, and learned to play multiple instruments, and with a special talent for banging on things, the drums came naturally. On the advice of such icons as Jim Morrison and Horace Greeley, he headed west, dug the AZ way of life, and never looked back. Ben has an appreciation for many genres and artists, and what he'll tell you he's learned from those who have influenced him musically, is that, "Music is a universal language that allows us to express that which we cannot by other means, it is like medicine for the soul."
Born and raised in Boston, Dante Fiorenza studied jazz and rock bass, and in 1999 with his first band, Surrender Dorothy, opened Lilith Fair Phoenix, and he has since performed with Launching Brenda, Stephanie Kniffin and Cameo Hill. Dante's main influences are his father who, while not a bassist, is the "baddest tenor man in Boston," Charles Mingus, Jaco, John Paul Jones, and Paul McCartney.
AMERICAN LONGSPURS
AMERICAN LONGSPURS
American Longspurs is an alt/country band hailing from Phoenix, Arizona. Founded by Zach Zimmerman and Drew Switzer, American Longspurs turn out a mixture of singer-songwriter ballads and bar-burning, country-rock anthems.
THE LONESOME WILDERNESS
THE LONESOME WILDERNESS
The Lonesome Wilderness is an Arizona-based rock band, formed in 2011. Members include sex-panther Joe Golfen, his time-traveling brother Paul, rocknrolla Andrea Custer, and beat-droppin' Ryan Gentry.

They originally drew their sound from surf and punk influences, but while their backs were turned, some southwestern dust seeped under the door.

You can find them playing shows on ramshackle stages in dirt lots, backyards, and select coffee houses, while they build their tracks and bust their chops landing bigger and brighter venues.
